I am using the MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR board, with an AOpen H600A case, and when installing the external 6-channel bracket, it will not fit in the slot! The bottom of the bracket hits the mobo components, whatever slot!! has anyone else had this problem? could you check on your boards for me? and MSI, should this be happening - looks like a design fault

i was thinkin of simply cutting off the excess plastic on the bottom, but that has the bottom screw in it and would probably invalidate my warranty

also feel free to email me if you have had this problem

No no no. you dont get what i mean. anyways, apparently it is a common problem (design fault) with these boards. a bit worrying that msi didnt test the retail packaged boards in a case before shipping them...

here are some pictures
here is a pic
and another

solution in MSI forum

i think maybe this should be put in a FAQ somewhere

note how close i had to sand to the screwfixing to get it to fit! i used a knife type thing to get the most of it off, and then a D.remel to smooth it off. the slot i managed to get it working the best in was #3 (PCI 1), because there is only a small electrical component below it, and the cdrom audio connector next to it (just fits!), in most of the other slots sommat would have scraped along/been altogether too high to fit well and i wanted to keep all the header brackets up the top.
