Looks good. Now where are the 400 FSB CPU's

Do you have a MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR. If so what is your opinion?

I am thinking of upgrading my Abit KG7. I am looking at the MSI K7N2 Delta-L for $99 at NewEgg but not sure if I should step up to the ILSR. Also considering the Abit NF7-S v2.0 and Epox 8RDA+ or Epox 8RDA3+, whenever they are available.

Nice.. I almost ordered one over my Soltek... but I am loving the Soltek (As usual)

for sure let us know.. I am curious, I can get these MSI boards really easily.. 😀

the delta is looking very nice to me aslo... great price, TONS of features and its even ready for the new generation opteron CPU's wich will be sporting a 400 FSB..but i cant seem to make up my mind. lol too many nice boards out there to decide...but seeing that the MSI is the best board for its price i may be forced to go with the K7N2 Delta... unless the Gigabyte GA-7NNXP is affordable.. i havent been able to find any stores that carry it yet.

Ok, I got the board today along with a barton 2500+ and 2 256MB PC3200 mushkin 2-2-2 ram. Bumped the bus to 200 and upped the voltage a bit and its running @ 3200+ rock solid (stock hsf). The bios is nice and straightforward like the soltek. Only thing I really noticed is that the memory scores compared to the soltek sl-75frn2-rl with an athlon xp 1700+ @ 2150 mhz are a few hundred points slower in sandra with the same settings.

Err... Am I missing something here? As far as I know, Opetron's use the Nforce-3

lol actually no i am the one who missed somthing.. u are correct the opteron will be on the Nforce 3 professional...amd is unveiling a new cpu soon, i forget what its called..the current barton core 3000+ series do support the 400 fsb..the opteron CPU's and the other new chip to be introduced will be based on a new amd64 "family" my guess is that the word family refers to some kind of new core. however they have been pushed back til september

u can read about them here AMD Delays 64-bit Athlon

Ready for new generation opterons? You must mean the new 400 bus Bartons.
