I've had a MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR for about half a year now, and i've had a few problems, mainly with the CPU. I had a AMD Athlon Model 4 "Thunderbird" A1333AMS3C, which should run at 1333 Mhz with an FSB of 133 Mhz. Me and 3 friends all bought this mobo at the same time from Ebuyer, and when they installed their processors all of them didn't detect the CPU settings properly, and had to be manually set. It all worked fine for them then. When I set my FSB to 133 though, it went from 994 Mhz to 1002 Mhz, instead of 1333. I didn't really care at the time, because I had been planning to get a new processor soon, and didn't really need a high speed one at the time. Now I've gotton a AMD Athlon XP 3200+ though, and it detected it at 1000 Mhz when i put it in. When I set the FSB to 200 Mhz, it went up to 1100 Mhz. This is the second processor that's not running at full speed. Anyone know why it wouldn't be running at full speed? A friend suggested the "FSB/DRAM ratio" setting in the BIOS might have something to do with it, but i don't know what i should change it to, if I should change it at all. it's currently at Auto

I've scanned it with a program called Fresh Diagnose, and under the tab
-Fresh Diagnose
-Hardware System
Motherboard

there is a list titled "Processor Info (from BIOS)"

In that list it says Current Speed is 1100 Mhz, but Maximum Speed is 2200 Mhz, so it is somehow detecting it, I still don't get why changing settings in the BIOS isn't making it run at proper speed

Any suggestions at all?

I ordered the processor from K&M Elektronik, if that's any help at all

Stern,

Welcome to the Forums.

You didn't mention what RAM you are running.
If you want to get the most out of your system, you should have PC3200 (400MHz) RAM to compliment your CPU.
Your XP3200+ needs to run at 200MHz FSB with "Adjust CPU Ratio" set to 11 (page 3-26 in your MB manual.
If your RAM can handle it, your "Adjust DRAM Freq" should be set to 1:1 so it runs at the same frequency as your 200MHz FSB.

My RAM is Crucial DDR-SDRAM PC3200 - 512 MB

This is the result from CPU-Z
Frequency - 200.5 Mhz
FSB:DRAM - 1:1
CAS# Latency - 3.0 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay - 3 clocks
RAS# Precharge - 3 clocks
Cycle Time (Tras) - 8 clocks

The last 4 stats {Bank Cycle Time(Trc), DRAM Idle Timer, Total CAS#(tRDRAM), and Row To Column (tRCD)} are greyed out.
The FSB/DRAM Ratio in my BIOS is set to Auto, should I set it to 1:1 manually?
