MSI k7 turbo raid question - Can raid be used for single HD?

title preaty much explains. I would like to see about running my HD off of the raid controler and leave the ide for cd roms and cdrw. Can this be done? I only have one 40 gig HD and have no plans to get #2 any time soon.
 
yes it can be done I am doing it right now just connect up the drive you want as your c drive to the primary raid channel and create an array with it using only that single drive. simple as that. I have 2 drives running as single drive arrays on my controller right now and setup all the cdrom drives on the onboard ide.
