Fresh install of WinXP, are there any motherboard/chipset drivers that are needed? This page says the software bundle comes with VIA patches but under chipset info listed below it doesn't mention VIA. Just wondering what if any mobo drivers should be installed.

Heres the page i mean Linky

Thx for any help

The K7 Pro is an all AMD board. Both North and South bridges. Go over to AMD and all you need to download is the AMD agp driver, the latest IDE driver, and the 2000 agp patch if your running WIN 2K. Get the latest bios from MSI as well. And your all set.

Here Merry Christmas :)

Here's the AMD chipset drivers page
AMD Chipset Drivers
Use the 1.41g IDE driver. All the other drivers are there.

Here's the link to the BIOS page
BIOS for 6195 K7 Pro

Good board by the way.

Thanks a bunch :) One question tho, i don't see an AGP Driver for WinXP, is it in the AMD Driver Pack, Version 1.30? It doesn't have XP listed in drivers details either tho.

Thats a good question. I would probably say use the WIN2K drivers for XP. Or let XP load the drivers from XP itself. XP may already have the necessary drivers and patches.
