MSI K7 Pro and SB Live.... do they have problems together?

I have a question should they have problems working together? Someone was telling me one day that they do have problems and after formatting I noticed that the computer locks up everything I try to do something with sound such as play mp3s.

eek the case of "my friend told me this".. well sorta, there is a known issue with SBLive cards and the Via686B southbridge... but if ur friend read the whole article, he'd know there has since been a fix for it, hehe.. http://www.viahardware.com jus download the latest via4in1, 4.32 i think.. and you shouldnt have problems due to that.. good luck..

Actually my motherboard doesn't use the VIA chipset it uses the AMD one. So I can't update the drivers for the VIA but umm would that make a difference?
