MSI K7 Master

Tomorrow Im going to be building 4 MSI K7 Master systems with 1.33 ghz Tbird and 256mb ram and GF2 Pros, all running Win2k. I want to know exactly how I have to install the OS and drivers for the mobo. It uses an AMD 761 Northbridge and the VIA southbridge. What order and versions should I install of what drivers...im clueless. Thanks.

Install the Via 4in1 v 4.32 first.
It will come up with a list of 3 things (IDE, AGP and INF I think).
Uncheck the AGP one because the board isn't a Via north bridge.

After that it will reboot, then you want to install the AMD AGP Miniport v5.22 for Win2k or v4.80 for Win9x/ME.

After that go on to install DirectX 8.0A and the rest of your Device drivers.

Edit: Hmm also if you are on Win2000, I'd probably install SP2 before the Via 4in1s....I have SP2 slipstreamed, so a clean install of Win2k is at SP2 level already...then I installed the Via 4in1s, then AMD AGP miniport.

Exactly what Noriaki said.

I installed this board last week with Win2k, using the exact same steps and I'm very happy with the results. Good, solid board. Its a little larger than I expected, but I'm quite pleased with it so far.

Hehe yeah it's a big board....1-1.5" wider than most ATX boards.
Oh well I have a full tower what do I care 😉
