Hi, I'm trying to find a good H55 mobo that has at least 2 PCI slots and 2 PCI-Express slots, and supports IDE.

I was looking at the GIGABYTE GA-H55-USB3, but after reading this I noticed that MSI boards seem to use a significantly less amount of power.

So I found the MSI H55-GD65 for about the same price. The P55 version was reviewed here...

But then I came across this thread about the MSI P55-GD55 board: "I'm using one of the worst P55 motherboards ever, I know..." Yeah, different board, but I'm a bit wary after reading that.

Is the MSI H55-GD65 a good choice or should I look elsewhere? :)

It got a gold award at HardOCP: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2009/11/24/msi_p55gd65_lga_1156_motherboard_review/1

MSI continues it P55 HardOCP Gold Editor’s Choice motherboard trend with the P55-GD65. The GD65 is easily one of the best P55 motherboards we have seen this year and if you consider its $155 price tag with Free Shipping, the value really starts to look great. There is just nothing "bad" to say about the GD65. It is great to see MSI finally make it back to producing some of the best enthusiast motherboards in the world.

I've had the GD65 since the P55 launch. One of the best boards I've owned. Layout is superb. Stability is a non-issue (no hardware related issues).

P55-GD55 is another story though. xbitlabs had a less than stellar review about the board.
