MSI H1101 Pro AC (MS-7995) and Bluetooth

Hi I have MSI H1101 Pro AC Motherboard.
No Matter what I could do, I can't get Bluetooth to show up.
MSi have change the MB and WiFi card but still no go.
Here is MB

I can't even show any entry in Device Manager.

However WiFi card works fine. It is intel 8260 Which is a combo card.
It suppose to have Bluetooth 4.2 Linkified
Os has been installed twice.
OS: Windows Pro 64
CPU i3 6300
MSi support suspect either I may not have installed the replacement card they have sent or my OS is got corrupted.
Anybody has this issue ?

It might just be me, but I don't see Bluetooth mentioned at all on MSI's product page. Usually if it supports both wifi/bluetooth, the motherboard manufacturers really promote that. However, it just states dual band wifi.

Maybe Intel supplied this module to them without Bluetooth enabled/installed.

Also you can install the Intel Driver Support Assistant to look for available drivers for Intel Products.

yes, what? Be specific. Did you install the BT driver from MSI's website? Did it install correctly?

Which Windows 64 did you install?

OS is Windows 10 Pro

Driver for Bluetooth has installed initially from MSI later on upgraded to Intel latest drivers.
However Bluetooth is natively supported by OS. Also I do not have Unknow device in Device Manager

I found thread after thread of people saying that that board does not have Bluetooth. Even if the Canada site says it does, the U.S. one says it doesn't. I've installed several Intel wifi/bluetooth internal cards into my PCs, and Windows 10 automatically installs the drivers, and they work without me doing anything.

So factor in the fact that the U.S. site just says it has wifi, all the threads where people are saying no Bluetooth, and that nothing in your device manager shows Bluetooth, I am fairly confident in saying that board does not have it (or it's a defective design). If you want to know without a doubt, remove the black plate that covers the card (where the antenna hooks to the back).

in win 10 there is a setting for Bluetooth and Other Devices. Go there and see if you can get BT to work. If it does not then there is your answer.

Here is from my Dell laptop. If it had Bluetooth, it would show in the device manager. I think MSI must have decided at the last moment to not offer Bluetooth on his motherboard model, and caused a lot of confusion.

Look carefully at the card.

You should be able to tell if it has BT.

Maybe just get a $10 usb BT adapter?

MSI should really make it clear whether BT is on that board or not. The fact that MSi offers a BT driver for this board makes people wonder what is going on.

Good point if the OP does not want to remove the black metal on top of the card to see. They can download the Intel Driver and Support Assistant, and it will detect the hardware, and install the driver(s) automatically. If it doesn't see Bluetooth, it's not there.

I doubt it. From all the threads I found via Google, nobody has gotten it to work on that motherboard. To me, it appears MSI was going to initially offer Bluetooth on it, but then changed the specs at the last second, and left it off. So on places like Newegg, it says it has Bluetooth, but on MSI's website under specs, it does not list Bluetooth at all.

Also, on the Reddit link I included above, it looks like the reason they dropped it from the h110 board was to get people to buy the h170 instead:

But we aren't talking about built in BT, we're talking about an included Intel 8260 card, right?
I can't find an Intel 8260 card without BT though. Unless MSI has a custom batch of cards?

It wouldn't be the first time a manufacturer used an altered/limited chip.

I bet if they pulled the card, it would be missing the Bluetooth portion (my last two Intel wifi/Bluetooth cards had two different cards in it, with a USB 2.0 cable that plugged into a motherboard USB internal header for Bluetooth to work).

Actually, I take back the two cards. I just looked, and it's just the one Intel chip, but Bluetooth only works if it is plugged into the motherboard USB 2.0 header. Maybe MSI dropped enabling it with something similar.

It's just an M.2 card, so if you have an M.2 slot, it should work, I'd think.
