Received the card today!

Question: What is my invoice used for the rebate? Was it an email or the paper included with the shipped box?

Thanks!

Great deal and great card btw!!

My gf just ordered one for our Skyrim rig. The price has been raised. But you can click price match and put a link to this page in to it and they'll give you the old price.

Still works :D

heh that has got to be an unintended function of an automated feature.
Linking a page that links to their own website can't be right.

that is pretty funny :p...

even if you decide not to take advantage of the system though, the $30 MIR still stands...so for $120 AR, its still a very good deal.

How is it taking advantage? Isn't that just the same as asking them via email if you can get the old price?

you can buy a gtx560 for just 40 bucks more and that will come Batman Arkham City and Dungeon Siege 3. so whether you want those games or decide to just sell them then the gtx560 is certainly the better deal.

well yes, the end result is certainly the same. i think you took my post out of context - i wasn't pointing out the loophole in the system so much as i was pointing out that $5 is negligible...so even if some folks don't think to try the price match thing, they're still getting a steal of a deal @ $120 AR.

Still is $40 worth the + 10% - 15% performance gain? nah
Plus I have a thing about buying for companies like ECS
lol, way to miss the WHOLE point. lets try again because for just 40 bucks more than that gtx460 you get the gtx560 that INCLUDES TWO BRAND NEW GAMES. and AGAIN if want those games they are worth 100 bucks or more to you because that's what they cost. if you want to sell them than you can get at least 25-30 bucks a piece. so in the end, the gtx560 is the BETTER and CHEAPER deal.

from a pure value standpoint i completely agree w/ toyota. but it really comes down to whether or not those who don't want to keep the games find it worth their time to put in the leg work of trying to flip them in the FS/FT forum. i've seen a few folks trying to sell their copies of the new Batman game for $20-$30 for quite a while now...i'm not a gamer myself and would have no use for those games, but i'm not too lazy to try and sell them, so the GTX 560 deal is something i'd look into as well.

It is worthless to talk about it now since the deal is basically over. I already bought the card. If you are talking about it being $40 more than the retail I don't see that as a deal. If you are talking about $40 after rebate then maybe it is IF you can sell it.

Either way it's not worth the headache. You get $30 - $35 for both games then some of it goes to PayPal/ebay fees.

Overall not worth it
