msi gtx1080 gaming 8G question

thinking about the purchase of this card. i do not see a bios update from msi on there website like i do on some of the 1070's. now does that mean this card doesnt need one? thanks for any help provided.

You have a 1080 it the title and your question asking about a 1070 and I am assuming your asking about getting bios update be cayuse it a 1070 card your concerned about?

I'm asking if the 1080 needs one as well because it's not listed on there site, like how if you look at the 1070 on there site there's bios updates for them. Does the 1080 not need one

You can always check the website for any bios or other updates for the video card but its very rare to need to update the bios on a video card mostly you can get updates for a motherboard bios.

idk evga had alot of issues with there cards and needing a bios update.. just was wondering

The cards had faulty heating and were burning up. There was an updated bios to raise the default fan speed profile. The other option was RMA for a version with better cooling pads, or they'd send you the pads to DIY.
