What drivers to use?
- nvidia drivers 40.21
- nvidia drivers 30.82
- MSI drivers on CD

What utility/tweak to use to OC the video card?

Current system:
MSI K7N420 pro, 512 ram, windows XP, gf4ti 4400, AMD 1700XP

Just got the new video card, installed it, and ran 3dmarks 2001 and got score of 9147. Is that good?

I upgraded my drivers for the TI4400 from the cd to the 30.82's and run those cause they seem to be very stable as opposed to the Detonator 40's, but some of the newer ones might be better by now. I used the MSI overclocking utility but I wasn't able to get it as high as I would have liked at 307core/621memory.

Your 3dmark score is good for that combo and not overclocking the card.

Best drivers are 30.82 official Nvidia drivers, the beta 40.71s are getting mixed feedback,my friend can`t even install them without DDL error problems and that`s after removal of the old ones, and I hear it`s quite a common problem with other users, image quality and stability wise 30.82 are the best IMHO.

what are the differences between MSI drives and the nvidia drivers?

Nvidia drivers are the standard reference drivers, the ones branded companys like Asus,Gainward etc use are fined tuned for their cards so you might get extra software features depending on the brand and model of the card that won`t be on the standard Nvidia drivers, most people use Nvidia drivers because they `re updated the quickest.

I think the latest MSI drivers are 30.0 but I just used the cd drivers and then I upgraded to the Nvidia 30.82 drivers which just install overtop of the MSI cd drivers and it still keeps the overclocking utility and all the overall functionality, but it updates the drivers.
