I'm considering buying the MSI V3TI200 Geforce3 from newegg for142.00. The Gainward card is only 3 $ more, but the MSI has more video outputs/options. Thoughts? Any other good GF3 deals?

The Gainward has the better 2D quality of the two,so it`s really down to this and features between the two.I would buy the Gainward since 2D quality would be one of the top factors for me in choosing between different Geforce cards.

Visiontek is another good brand and Elsa if you can still find them in the stores.

To my eyes, the 2D is indistinguishable between the MSI GF3 TI200 and Gainward GF3 TI200. I ran the GW for a while, now I have the MSI TI200 in my rig now on a 21" sony FD Trinitron. Get the one with the features you will take advantage of.

Mem,

MSI had 2D problems with the original GeForce3, but their Ti line seems to handle 2D pretty well.

LXi,I agree since I do have a Ti card ;),it`s just some companies like Gainward have always had the same very high standard with 2D quality in their cards.
