Looks like they are planning on launching cheaper boards with the Hydra chip. The enthusiast in me is curious but unless that AMD board ends up significantly cheaper than 890FX boards I don't see much of a market for it...
But the most interesting thing is that I thought Hydra would die but now with these new boards, Asus having some interesting prototypes and the Powercolor card with Hydra integrated it looks like the manufacturers see potential for differentiating their products.
