Just bought this board and it seems to work very nice. Much faster then my "old" P3V4X. Since i'm an unexperienced user of this mobo i sure would like to here some tips & trix about this board to improve performence and stability. I'm using P3 800E FC-PGA cBO coppermine chip. I downloaded the latest BIOS from june i think it was and the flashing worked great. The thing is that i can boot my chip in 1152Mhz but nothing is stable beyond 1066Mhz. Anyone can share some overclocking tips when using this board?

RAID modification ?
Overclocking jumpers sw2 & sw3 ?
Soft FSB ?
Just whatever that comes to mind..

Regards

I posted in your other thread. Has it occurred that maybe you have really already pushed that chip to potential? Ram limited out?
SW2 and SW3 should both be off at those speeds. I love my BX Master and have sold many of them with cpu combos. Try your ram at cas 3 instead of cas 2. Try disabling your l2 cache to see if that is one of your limits. Most else is pretty straight forward. Bump the voltage on the slotket to 1.8v and you'll see you have more voltage in the bios then, if you want to go up more. :)

Thanks for the input. You might be right about that my chip have reached it's limit. The RAM can handle 155Mhz FSB and i've tried voltages from 1.65-2.05 (I know it's high but Vapochill is @ -15C :)). I'll try to disable the L2 just for testing.

This is unbeliveable Compuwiz! :) I have no problem at all to run windows in 1110Mhz!!, after removing both sw2 and sw3 jumpers.

Ok, get technical. Yes, I meant just setting them to off. You can leave them dangling by one pin, if you like. I just keep mine in my drawer with the other junk I don't use. ;)
