MSI Burner cant set voltage above 1.000

Using MSI Afterburner I put the voltage to 1.005 and when I hit apply it goes to 1.000

how come ?

I believe depending on the voltage control chip used that it will go up in increments.

They are usualy around .0125v at a time, you chose 1.005v which is less than half way to the first incrememnt so it defaulted down to 1.000v. Both my MSI cards will allow me to input whatever value i want(like 1.005v) and GPUz will report that value, even if it is incorrect. Since i got the MSI hawk with core voltage measurment points on the card i used a multi meter and indeed it only changes by .0125v increments. For example setting anything up to 1.0075v will default down to 1.000v, you need to set it to 1.0076v or higher to get it to send the voltage up to the first increment of 1.0125v.

Thank you rifterrut thank you soo much for your help. You were right it worked I put it to 1.076 and it went to 1.075 when I hit apply.. sweet.
