WTF is up with all these issues people are having with the MSI neo4 boards (From reading the MSI thread)?? All of the reviews I read painted such a happy picture for it and it was recommended by more than a few people yet when I read peoples problems I'm wondering if people are being bullied by the MSI Gestapo police to say good things about it lol... I'm just really confused. After reading the AnandTech and HardOCP reviews and hearing some peoples testimony I was almost set on buying until I read the entire MSI thread and saw all the problems people were having (albiet they were having problems mainly when OCing and pushing the mobo/cpu buy if MSI didnt think it could handle it, it wouldnt have put the OCing options in the damned thing now would they have?)

I think what im ranting about is just trying to bring clarification to this. From one side im reading all green but then on the other side (People actually using the board) all I see is complaints and many WTFs... Any comments much appriciated.

I knew about the -5V no sound issue
I knew about the no WiFi /Bluetooth adapter in the Diamond Bundle
I knew about the missing Silicone Image controller on the K8K Platinum SLI board (not the neo4)
I knew the K8N Platinum SLI board only has one GB NIC

I brought it anyway and love it.

No complaints hear, Built the board and turned it on and everything worked great from day one. I had made sure that all the components I had would work with the board before buying it.

All the people complaining havent done their research, if you boil down all the complaints it comes down to people using powersupplys that the board does not support.

Well... one of the main purposes of the mobo sticky threads is for people to report issues and help each other troubleshoot, so you're definitely going to see a lot of problems reported in there. The main problem with the board right now is that the BIOS's powerup sequence is screwy, this is probably fixable in a new BIOS release. A reviewer can't catch every glitch or quirk that a board has. Look at the post counts in the A8N-SLI and DFI board threads... granted, a lot of that is because more people here own these boards, but don't think for a second that these boards don't have issues of their own. A lot of people are running their Neo4 with few to no issues to report; they're not posting in that thread because they're busy enjoying their new computers.

Let's not leave out that all encompassing glitch usually found between the keyboard and the chair. :D

this is true also fasteddie heh... It's just that its so hard to compare mobos without being there to play with em... I'm just goin off peoples responses and reviews from websites. Hard to sift through the garbage when all people report on is the bad stuff.
