In a moment of brilliance, I dropped the screw for my M.2 SSD. It is unlikely I will find it due its small size and vacuuming before realizing I had lost it. No problem, I thought, I have plenty of other M.2 SSD screws sitting around. But it seems MSI used a non-standard size on this board. The screw included with the SSD (M2x3mm) doesn't fit in the stand-off, the screw seems too big. Amazingly, screws included with MSI's extremely similar but newer B550M Mortar motherboard do not fit either. Why on earth did MSI change this...
Anyone know the type of screw the MSI B350M Mortar uses for its SSD stand-off? At this point I'll consider informed guesses as well. MSI support has been slow to respond.
Otherwise, I'm going to use a PCIe-NVMe adapter while I wait for the local hardware store to re-open... if ever.
