According to the MSI website, the Lite is 625/1500 and the regular is 625/1450. Seems like the only thing they took out of the LITE version was some of the software package.

There was also one review that the Lite version only had 128 bit memory, not 256, but I HAVE NOT seen any concrete review to back that one up, do your own research, probably can't trust that Newegg review.

My bad on my post above, there is no regular 1800xt listed on the MSI website. I was looking at the 1900XT instead.

But here are the Lite Version specs:
PERFORMANCES

? Memory interface: 256-bit
? Memory Clock Speed: 1500MHz
? Engine Clock Speed: 625MHz
? Pixel Shader Processor: 16

Looks identical to Sapphire's x1800xt offering. Great price.

MSI's "Lite" cards are usually white box and lack a software bundle. The hardware itself has never been "lite." ;)

Weird, the MSI shows the LITE version as 256 bit, but the regular version shows as 128-bit.

New has a refurbished regular version OEM for $399 and it shows 256 bit. I do not understand the pricing here. Why would an OEM version that is refurbed be $83 more than a retail version if they are the same card? Something must be up with the LITE version.

So tempting to get rid of my 7800GTX for this.... such a great price, and I could probably come out making a few bucks (friend of mine is extremely pro nVidia and I could probably sell my card to him for $250).

FYI X1800XT is a little better than 7900gt(without voltmod) and has more features.

I think he means that the price compares to the 7600 GT not the performance...

And damn that is an amazing price. MUST RESIST!

I'm still using a basic P4 2.53 speed processor -- will I see much of a difference with this card over my current 9800Pro?

Your system is AGP. This is PCI-E. You'd need a new CPU + motherboard and probably memory to be able to get this card. And no, even if you have a PCI-E system, a 2.53 GHz P4 would be bottlenecked so much by the X1800XT it'd be worthless.

Bump. In for one.

This is my third videocard within 1 year. Crazy. At least I can still sell my x800xtpe for not much of a loss :D And if I decide I can't afford this thing I can ebay it for a profit. This is even cheaper than the 256MB version for right now, since you can't use the promo code on those (all <$300)

@ KJW Re the 9800 pro: modern games would be much faster with this card than with the 9800 pro - even with a P4 2.53, IMO. But like others have said, you need a system with PCIe--so you should only get this if you're ready to replace mobo and proc as well. Or, you could buy my AGP x800xt :D

IF it isnt out of the box yet, Send the thing back or whatever you have to do and buy this one. Its almost double the performance of the card you just bought.
