MSI 975 DVD problem

Does anyone have an idea on why when I play DVD movies the voice part of the audio is garrbled. People sound like robots. I have a Sony and a LiteOn and both do the same thing. For now I am only using the Lite On to try to understand the porblem.
All other audio is good. I'm using the enhanced ide cables, connected to the second IDE control.

Any ideas what I should start checking? I have the latest realtek audio drivers I think.
