About 3 weeks ago me and my friend put together a super low budget PC for him. We had $400 to work with.
The system:
ECS mainboard (cant remember model)
Athlon XP 3000+ 333fsb
1024mb pc2700
**Radeon 9600pro 128mb from MSI**
onboard sound
80gig WD HD @ 7200rpm
Anyway, the Video card seems to be having some artifacts problems. This occurs in CS:S and ONLY when its set to High Quality models, OR, 6x AA on medium models. Why only at these settings? Is the card overheating?? We are using the latest drivers, and all mobo drivers are in as well. Any help or comments would be great.
Here is a link to the card, the heatsink on it seemed inadequate but i could be wrong, seeing as i really have no way of telling how hot it gets.
