MSI 8600 GTS

Should be faster and is definitely worth the extra $25 for faster memory and upped clock speed.

I have one and it's a decent card. Starting to slow a bit with new games like crysis but all cards are slow with crysis.

I can play almost anything @ 1440x900 max settings even Unreal 3.

It's worth the $20-40 extra over an 8600GT, but I'm not sure if it is worth replacing an existing 8600GT with. If you really want something better, then wait for the 256MB versions of the 8800GT. It should be WORLDS better, and supposedly will be $200, and may be as low as $150.

For the meantime, overclock that 8600GT. It is the same core (feature complete) as the GTS. The GTS just is clocked higher and has faster RAM, plus requires a PCI-E power plug.
