msi 7950 tf3 shorted out?

So... second tf3 so far. This one I keep hearing sounds as if there's a loose fan. Turn gpu fan to 100%, and I can see one of the fans protruding and wobbling very lightly. Am I able to fix this myself, should I just leave it, or return it and give up hopes on the tf3, since it's my third one?

Okay... a new problem has arisen. I was testing out my graphics cards and stuff and taking out and putting back into the system, and I turned on computer. no display was popping up and I noticed that I didn't plug in the 8 + 6 pins all the way into it. I turned off, plugged in all the way, and restarted. NOPE. doesn't work anymore. tried different pci e slots as well as different 8 + 6 pin connectors. is it possible I shorted out the psu? what to do?

My tf3 7850 does the same thing,makes this very annoying sound like the bearings might be going out,then usually a few mins later it stops and for the most part it happens during a cold boot.

Maybe dust went into the bearing housing and the bearing grease has sludged up when cold and after the bearings and fluid have warmed up,it quiets down as the oil thins out.
 
update: its not coming from the tf3, it's coming from inside my psu. it sounds like a fan is spinning slowly and its loose, or hitting something very softly, or it sounds like electricity. will move to the psu forums.
 
LOL,my psu has been doing the same thing actually.

Major bearing failure no doubt but it does spin full rpm sometimes and i am assuming its hooked up a temp probe to adjust the speed,heck back in the day i took a boring non led fan out of a cooler master psu,and swapped in a antec led fan so more then likely will do that again.
 
updated info on this.

I pressed clear cmos button and booted up again and it worked. should I be worried?

It could be coil whine you're hearing. Some PSUs are terrible with it. SeaSonic has some inexpensive and amazing PSUs on sale, might be worth replacing if you can't get the PSU fixed under warranty.

no but get your receipts and check your warranty policy.

here is a tip the 24 pin mobo wire can be loose so be careful when you pull and swap gear. I have one build that I need to push the 24 pin mobo cable down to get a boot not always once in a while.

this psu does this on each and every mobo that I use it with.

I am just a bit lazy and don't feel like doing a 24 pin re wire. I know the plug always wants to get loose.
