No. AM2/AM2+ boards support AM3 CPUs, but not the other way around. AM3 boards only supports AM3 CPUs. Reason is simple - AM3 boards have DDR3 slots, and AM2/AM2+ CPUs do not contain DDR3 controller. You may want to look for an AM2+ board which is the most flexible of the three (AM2, AM2+, AM3).
