HI
this is first post.
i have question.
my friend told me if Vdimm get to 2.0 volt on DDR3 ,the Mc (memory controller ) on AM3 will burn.he Said he was found on motherboard MSI 790-GD70.
Is it right that MC has problem with 2.0 volt or just a bug bios ?

its probably the memory controller if the ram is ok. the only way to find out if it was the motherboard would be to test it on a different board and see what happens. personally, i do not think that it was because of that specific model of motherboard.

The IMC resides in CPU, and high voltages for memory can damage memory controller, meaning damaged CPU. RAM can be OK, yes.
