Hello !!

MoBo=MSI 694D Pro Air
Will install Win2K with 2 processors PIII 800E 100MHz.
I have 2 sticks of Kingston 128MB. Q: any known issues if I get one
more stick, of 256MB, and put in a slot. Any imbalance or anything....? Can you just mix any memory size as long as it's not over 1024MB.
Grateful for advice.

I have 2 128MB PC100 and 1 256MB PC133 in my 694D Pro AR -- and have not encountered any problems.

you can populate the dimms in anyway you want as long as the total is under 1gb

If you are using pc133, the spec says that you should only use 3 dimms. I have found this to NOT be the case! Some of the configurations I have used include:

1.slot 1 = 128mb micron dual sided(on 3rd party pcb)
slot 2 = 128mb hyundai single sided
slot 3 = 128mb hyundai single sided
slot 4 = 128mb infineon single sided

2.slots 1,2,3,4 = 256mb micron dual sided

3.slots1,2 = 256mb crucial CL2 ECC

4.slot 1,2 = 64mb pny single sided

5.slot 1,2 = 64mb pny single sided
slot 2,3 = 256mb crucial CL2 ECC(ECC off)

I have used other configurations, but all have worked! All dimms PC133. If you want to use more than 1GB total (or more than 256mb in any one dimm) then I think you have to use Registered Dimms.
