MSI 6905 v.1.x question

These slotkets are not supposed to support FC-PGA's, right? ( i threw in a p3 700e and it didnt work.) The newer ones, v.2.x, do support cumine. However, for some odd reason, my celemine 566 o/c to 952 like a champ in the v.1.x. why?! shouldn't it not work? my friend says it probably wouldn't implement SSE technology... what do you guys think?

Did you flash your bios with the P3 support version? I use a 6905Master and a P3900E. Worked out of the box. No jumpers required changing. I did have the latest and apparently the last Bios Tyan will provide for the S1830S Tsunami AT formfactor BX440 chipset mainboard. I regret having to consider replacing it sometime in the future.

TRUMPHENT, what version of the 6905 master are you using? is it v.1, v1.1, v.2, v2.1, or v2.3?
