Yes, I like the MSI board for its price too. Check out this new ASUS P4SDX board, also based on the SiS 655 chipset.

Apparently several reviewers have only been able to max out the overclocking settings at around 158-160 fsb. IMHO, if that is all you're going to get out of these boards, you might want to just grab yourself one of the many fine PE boards out there, as they offer terrific performance which is on par with these dual-channel solutions at these fsb speeds, at a substantially lower price-point;).

"Without wasting any time I left all the voltage and memory settings as they were and increased the FSB to 160MHz on the overclocking processor (the 1.8A). This took the processor to a healthy 2.88GHz and saw SiSoft2002 memory transfer rates hit 3.9GB/s.I then increased the voltage and upped the FSB to 166MHz. The system then posted and benchmarking completed successfully. I was able to run at 167MHz however, I did experience the odd crash that could perhaps be avoided with a better cooling solution. "

Sounds good to me! Ive ordered one asus655 board and with some nice corsair ram i think i might be able to crank up the fsb a tad. :D

I had the MSI GNB Max and hated it :( It didn't have any AGP/PCI lock and wouldn't overclock with my Radeon 9700 pro. I'm sure that issue will be fixed in a BIOS update but, I had no patience for that and sold the board.

Yeah, big time.

Any FSB increase would cause the Radeon to crash to 256 color w/in a few minutes of Windows loading.

I don't understand how a company like MSI could include (and advertise) overclocking features and software yet not include a PCI/AGP lock.
