MSI 648DX

What is the time frame for release of this motherboard? Will it be basically the same at the 648-F but with DDR400 support?

MSI tells me October/November, but it all depends on Granite Bay (Intel's dual DDR266 chipset).

Nope, won't happen. SiS cancelled the 648DX chipset. In fact, VIA and SiS are pulling away DDR400 support.

I was just about to say what wixt0r did. SiS 648dx/746DX with official DDR4000 support has indeed been canceled (which personally is not a huge thing)

I think SiS648DX is cancelled and SiS is going to be rolling out the Sis655 in November.

I assume that this is going to affect the DX versions that we probably won't see. So what about just the 648 based motherboards (which may have 'unofficial' DDR400 support) ?

I was looking at the one from ASUS or EPoX, but is it worth going for now ?
