I have 3 x MSI 6340 MB's with 750 duron cpu's.
All of them are dead, the same way.
DOes not boot and if it does it locks up after a few minutes.

Apparently some of the caps on the boards a faulty and can be replaced.
but I belive it could also be the voltage regulator.

Has anyone had experience with this?

Any sugestions for a cheap board to replace it ?

:(

I had an MSI-6340M v5.0 (KM133A Pro5) die after approximately 10~11 months, just shy of the one year warranty expiration (fortunately). Newegg offered a Biostar M7VIG 1.2 (KM266) as a replacement, although it too is demonstrating POST problems with certain AGP video cards (Radeon 7500 and GF4 MX440SE, both with 64MB of DDR-RAM).

well when it locks up its your cpu. A good motherboard for the price i think is a gigabyte ga-7vaxp kt400 dual bios motherboard. I don't know how much it is but it should be very cheap. It comes with overclocking software, norton, 3 firewire, 4 usb, and a sound blaster 128pci. It comes with more stuff but i forgot.
