Hi,
I am looking at getting a 815e based board and am very interested in the MSI 6337. It is reasonably priced and the reviews I have read rate it as stable and good for overclocking. I intend to use a P3 700 on the board and overclock to some degree. Could anyone share their experience/opinion of this board? In particular, the online manual I downloaded does not go into great detail, I am interested in the available settings of the CPU voltage and the Freq adjustments available for the FSB, AGP, PCI.

Many thanks,
johnnygal

If you go to MSI's site...try their Taiwan site...you'll see there are several models of the 6337...

The 815E Pro uses the Intel 815E / ICH2 chipset.

The 815EP Pro (6337 v3.0b) is the latest...also comes in 815EP Pro-R, (one diff is that "R" has onboard RAID....)...both use the lastest (newer) Intel 815EP / ICH2 chipset...

Maybe confusing....you can download the latest manual, v1.0, for the 815EP Pro...it tells the diff's between them, etc.

You can also go to Intel's site and read info on 815EP chipset, etc.

Anyway, do you know who sells the 815EP Pro ?...at a good price ?, etc.... don't know if it's in retail channel yet...

Post if you know...

Thanks !

Hi,

I am in the UK and (eventually) got the board, 6337 (815E Pro) from Stak Trading. I am pleased with it so far although I am unable to get my P3 700 to 933. It's a cB0 stepping so I thought I might have made it. It doesn't POST with the overclocking jumpers removed.

See yer,
