Alright, my GeForce 1 (LINK) is AGP 4x and works fine in my K7 Pro, which maxes out at AGP 2x. Today I tried to put in my geforce 3 and it won't boot at all. Of course, the GeForce 3 is also AGP 4x. What gives?

Anyone have a clue, or could it just be a bad card?

Make sure to clean out the inside of the AGP slot on the motherboard. After that, reseat your video card a few times until you are sure that it is seated properly. After installing a new video card if the system won't boot, improper seating is often the cause.

I have in it a Slot A Thunderbird 700 OCed to 850. I've had it for eighteen months now, and it is very stable and a very loving system....except for this

I'm running this board right now with a 1gig TBird. It is definitely a good one. My only complaint about it is the chronic hang up problems with Windows Me I was having. Xp would work great, but my vid card isn't supported under XP so I was using Me for gaming. On a hunch I flashed my bios back to v1.3 whihc was the first version to support the TBird(previously I had v1.8). Now it works awesome! So much for bios improvements eh?
