MSI 5950Ultra: Images and graphics are messed up, why!? help!!

I bought this card from newegg a good month ago. It has worked perfectly ever since! Up until about a week ago i noticed that when I looked at images there would be weird lines surrounding lighted areas almost like a negative but it was hardly noticeable. I thought maybe somethign happened to the drivers and would try and reload them but I was in no hurry. Yesterday it got FAR worse, now it is very noticeable! even my desktop background looks horrible and when i try and play a game like Halo it just looks like a giant negative! Everything else like this webpage looks fine.

I have not changed a thing in the last week, I did uninstall the drivers and the whole card itself and reinstalled with no luck.

I have a 560w PSU, I am not sure what other info anyone needs.
I was about to format but there is no guarantee that would help at all.

Any help is appreciated!!!

What about the rest of the system is it modified in any way? Youve tried everything? That really sux, you should just RMA it to I guess MSI and see what they can do. Good luck to you Nvidia fan!

no the entire system hasn't been touched, all i have doen in the last week is play MP3z and use AIM. And i don't want to RMA anything if it is even possible anymore seeing as I think it has been a month since i bought it, when i don't even know if there is anything wrong with the card

check connections, make sure the card is seated properly in the agp slot. hook up another monitor to you rig, if same results then swap the card to another pc if possible. if problems persist, call msi or vendor support for rma.

all the connections are fine, the card is seated perfectly. I just put the card in my friends comp and everythign is perfect, images look liek they should, unreal 2004 demo runs great. I have not tried hooking up a monitor to my comp yet but i will

i doubt switching monitors would do anything, but if the card works fine in another rig then it is most likely something wrong with your rig and not the card, really hard to say what it is though. it could be your agp slot on your motherboard going bad, i had that happen to me twice with an old fic ss7 board back in the day, happened once after about 6 months of use so i rmaed it and it happened again six months later.

DUDE!!!! CHECK YOUR GAMMA/BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST SETTINGS!!!

i had the exact same problem until i realized i had changed my gamma and B/C from the default!!!

set everything back to 1.0 within the nvidia control panel and other utilities.

do you have rivatuner or similar installed? set those correctly also.
