Nice price and I would go for one of these if they didn't do double duty as a space heater. Hopefully there will be some hot deals on the cooler running 970s this holiday season.

Can't see why there would be when AMD has nothing new coming out until next year. I'm surprised they're even giving a free game with the 970 now considering how well it's selling.

Well there was one for 309.99 @ Newegg a few days ago, so who knows.

Wow, actually in stock though? I see Newegg listing some GTX 970's (such as the EVGA ACX 2.0) for $329.99 when out of stock and as soon as it's in stock it's $339.99 or $349.99.

Yeah it was that EVGA model that was on sale for $329 when the $20 off paypal promotion was going on, bringing it down to $309. I really dont "need" a new card right now or I would have nabbed that one, but it was in stock most of the day just sitting there tempting me. LOL

If you can deal with used there are a TON of high end graphics cards on e-bay because of failed bit miners or people upgrading for bit mining. Just make sure the fans are still good but if your willing to replace fans they range from $5.00-$7.00 each just search by the size, connector, and mount to find them cheaper on e-bay than those who are selling them for around $10-$30.00 naming what graphics card they go to.

I got a 280x for $100.00 all good triple fans and going strong. I was also able to upgrade the bios as the later bios bumped up the speed to OC edition. Caught that in the guys screenshot.

Wow, $100? I last looked a couple of weeks ago, but back then they seemed to be selling for about $165 or so.

That's around the time I got mine guy was selling 4 cards of various manufacturers and it was a buy it now free shipping. He didn't have accessories for it like the DVI/VGA adapter or the cross bridge but if I ever do pair it the second one Ill make sure has it. But it did arrive in original box and packing with proof of purchase in place. Just have to check often.

Most people don't know the Radeon 7950 is the exact same card as the 280 with a slightly different clock speed Ive seen those drop for $85.00-$90.00 Free shipping buy it now because people want the newer branded card or don't know. It really is the same chip/board branded at 280. Check out the reviews its worth a shot.

Ya 280 = 7950, just different clock speeds/boost functionality. At this point with prices on used cards bottoming out, I think I'd spend a little more on used 7970/7970Ghz/280X rather than 280/7950 though. For someone on a budget 7970/7970Ghz/280X is a solid card to hold them over for 1.5 years at 1080P. If one can find a used after-market 290 for $170-180, that would be a killer deal.

I am sure ebay prices are going to drop 200 seems doable for them right now. I decided with the games etc it wasn't worth the hassle and saving 40 bucks. I even got the Civilization game too that went into affect after my purchase. Newegg is awesome.
