MSFT Exchange Server

I wasnt sure which forum to place this in but ..

I was hoping someone might be aware of a free/cheap exchange server. Ive been looking around but I was hoping you guys might have some ideas about where I can find one.

Thanks for the help.

A "free" exchange server? Do you mean email server? Or one with exchange-like capabilities? I think Suse had some sort of exchange-like software out at one point...

I think it was called OpenExchange.

Are you looking for cheap hardware to run Exchange on? Or a cheap way of getting an Exchange license? Or a cheap Exchange host like 1&1?

Im a med student with a laptop, computer, and a palm and I need a way to get all of my emails on all of them. Ive heard the best way was to get an exchange server that can send all of that information to all of my hardware. All I really need is a couple of email accounts and my calender from outlook stored and updated on each. Since Im shelling out tens of thousands of $ each term Im hoping I might find something pretty cheap.

Thanks again.

Get a hosted Exchange email account from places like Intermedia.net or Ownwebnow.com. A single Exchange mailbox is $10 to $15 a month, and will allow you to automatically synchronize your Outlook email, contacts, and calendars on your desktop, laptop, and web-enabled cell phone or PDA.
