MSDN Windows Vista RTM

Full MSDN Subscription allows you to download Vista RTM with a key that can be used to do 10 installations.

However, there is no information on when and if it actually expires at some point. Is there an expiration date for the Vista RTM from MSDN subscription? How do I find out?

The RTM Vista is supposed the same as the shipping version but does it expire?

I had that installed a while back and I want to say April 2007 but don't hold me to that.

I would expect a version that doesn't expire that quickly to appear soon. I hope so anyway. We've got developers using the MSDN version to test our products.

I didn't think the MSDN RTM versions would expire? It's the same as the shipping version so if your key is valid and you haven't used up your allocation of 10 licenses it should be fine.

Anyone know any different?

I'm positive one of the MSDN versions I installed had the build and expiration in the lower right. I'm not positive if it was the RTM version though.

The RC versions had that - not seen it on any of my RTM builds

MSDN RTM licenses are Perpetual. Once you've installed the software, the software doesn't expire. You still have to comply with the licensing terms, though, which state that the software can only be used for development, and not for general use.

Microsoft: MSDN Frequently Asked Questions

"When a subscription expires, do the licenses terminate or are they still valid?

MSDN subscriptions have a perpetual license, so subscribers can still use the products received with their MSDN subscription after their subscription has expired."
