Perhaps I'm just confused about how this works, but I'm trying to get the current CD's for the MSDN library. You know, the help files that come along with Visual Studio?

Supposedly when I registered my copy of VS6 a year and a half ago I should have gotten a subscription to the MSDN network from which I could download software beta's and such. I was also under the impression that during that year I would get updated MSDN library CDs in the mail. That's what I really wanted was those CDs because I won my copy of VS6 at an ACM raffle, sans MSDN.

Well I never got them. I thought I could just go online and download them from Microsoft, but it seems like that is a no go. I could have sworn that those CD's were free for download at microsoft.com. Am I just crazy or something?

You don't understand that there are different types of MSDN subscriptions. The MSDN Universal is the one where you get free betas and free copies of everything Microsoft makes. What you got just gives you access to the CD's and if you registered your software, they should send them to you for the first year or so (I think). But it doesn't matter anyway since nothing noticeable really changes in VS6. You aren't missing anything. I don't think you can download those CD's from Microsoft, but if you can, let me know because I would be interested in getting newer copies (mine are from like 2000 or so).
