Just a quick question for you guys.

When I run msconfig, and then go to change the items that startup during the boot sequence. I have 2 items there that are checked but they are completely blank. They dont say anything and I have no idea what they are or what program it could be any info would be greatly appreciated. Now Ive run Norton, Adaware, Regedit, and spybot and there still there thanks for the advice

I've always wondered what those are also. But I usually just uncheck them and have zero problems from it. BTW if you uncheck things in your msconfig startup then spyware and virus programs will miss stuff, if you are scanning... leave them all checked but boot into safe mode.

I check msconfig every now and then, and only recently found a completely blank one. I unchecked it immediately, thought maybe malicious. Doesn't recheck itself and nothing has happened... think I need to download antivir.

In one of the run statements in the registry, is a blank entry. That is why it is showing up in msconfig. It is not that odd to see, but it isn't seen in most systems. I usually find the entry and delete it.
