msconfig in XP stopped working

-Try booting in safe mode to see it works then.

-Use the system restore utility to restore back to when it worked.

-I think you can download the exe and place it back in the appropriate directory.

Certain viruses and spyware disable msconfig to prevent you from removing them from starting up.

Try this one-time McAfee scanner: right-click this link, Save Target, it's a text file with instructions.

i think i corrupted msconfig with a botched RAID install 🙁

all is well since I added the above line back to the boot.ini 😱:laugh:
