First, sorry for the cross post. I posted to the OS Forum a few hours ago but I'm getting desperate for an answer to this.

Second, How do I disable that freakin annouying message that pops up everytime I start windows (XP) after editing the startup tab? I know I can remove most/all of the items using regedit but I don't want them gone from the list I just want them disabled.

All I had to do after I restarted was click the check box that said don't show this message agian. I don't get the pop up on startup anymore unless I change something in msconfig agian

If you go back into MSCONFIG, you can find an option that let's you get rid of the pop-up. It should be under the first tab. Hope this helps.
