What's is msata used for? And would it benefit using a hdd? Still a little unclear on how this works. Any help would be appreciated!

GREAT in a tight install no wires or cables and it may work a bit quicker then an ssd as it may be more directly connected to the cpu.

I have 2 installs with itx boards they have just the msata and no other drives.

lets say you don't use a gpu and use the gpu in the cpu .

you have no wire for the hdd no wire for the gpu

just the power to the mobo and the cpu. you can also use msata for a caching system where a 1tb or 2tb hdd is combined with a 32gb or 64 gb msata gives you speed and storage.

I have 2 of these msatas one for each mobo as I use only the msata in my builds
