I've got a document which seems to have been formatted in some way. It has green and blue bars in the backround of some of the pages, and I cannot seem to access these in any way. I would like to remove them on some of the pages, but I cannot determine how. Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
I am not sure if this will fix your problem but try going to Format - Background and pick No Fill. It sounds like someone put a background into the document. Hope this helps.
