How can i put the header and footer on ONLY one page?

also, if my text is centered in a vertical alignment, how do i align the header with the text?

For question one, create a section break after your one page. Edit the header/footer of the second section and ensure that it is not linked to the header/footer of the previous section.

so i have my last page, and then i do a page break, and then input the header and footer?

File->Page Setup

You should be able to define SOMEWHERE (in one of the three tabs) to have a different header and footer on the first page.

Yea, there should be an option for different first page or different odd and even pages somewhere in Page Setup.
Then you can do View->Header and Footer on the first page and it should be different from the rest (and the rest my not exist.)

But why even bother using a header and footer if it's just gonna be on the first page?

For your second question, you mean center the Header stuff too? Can't you just tab over once?
Or hit enter if you want it further down?
