I've got a word document that's about 20MB in size. Every time it is opened, the CPU spides at 100% and never goes down. You can let it sit there for 10 minutes and it not go down and the document won't open. It just says word is not responding. SP3 was installed (according to the knowledge base, SP3 fixes this problem, to my utmost surprise, it didn't do a thing). I was look for more information on it, and the only other thing I could find was to increase the virtual memory on the comp, which did nothing. I was thinking the machine didn't have enough RAM in it, but it would do the same thing on a machine with 1GB of memory. The culpret in questions is word in office xp (2002). The document opened in another machine running 2000. Is there some fix to get this thing to load in office xp? what the dilly-o?
