I was hoping to get some assistance with a problem that has me stumped. I have a user that cannot save changes to her toolbars through Tools -> Customize. She drags the option to the toolbar, and it shows up, but when Word restarts it is not there anymore. This information is stored in Normal.dot I believe, so this is the file that isn't being written to. Here is what I have done so far with unsuccessful results:
I made sure the path for her user templates were pointing to a location she could write to -> no dice.
I removed instances of Normal.dot that I could find (All Users, Her Account, C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Templates) -> no dice.
Uninstalled and Reinstalled MS Office 2003 & Updates -> no dice.
I'm pretty stumped with this. Anybody have any ideas that I can try? Know where I can get a working Normal.dot file? Please assist!
