from a few posts at dslreports I've basically come to the conclusion that this router works great for the non-tech user... however for those that need to do things like port forwarding, etc... this router has issues with configuration. Now, I don't know if that's user error or the thing sucks.

any opinions?

Microsoft has not been known to put out great networking hardware, and I remember hearing they have pulled out of the hardware market altogether.

i have one of their 802.11g usb adapters and it works fine. I don't think they pulled out of the wifi hardware market because of their products being subpar... though I could be misinformed.

If I'm lucky and Target still has them in stock, I'm picking up the wifi G adapter from Target tonight. I am somewhat concerned that they once again pulled out of the hardware market (see Microsoft Sidewinder hardware) but like sub mentioned, if it works, its fine as is. Just don't expect firmware updates or the like.
