MS Virtual PC

I've got a Pronto universal remote that I can't interface with my PC since I moved to Vista 64-bit.

The software installs and runs fine, but I can't connect the remote to the PC because the USB drivers for it are not written for a 64-bit OS.

Philips tells me they have no intention of providing drivers as the product is EOL.

Will I be able to connect the remote with XP running in MS Virtual PC?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm a total noob on this type of software.

Wow, this is disappointing. I wish I'd done my homework on this as 32-bit would have sufficed for my computing style. It actually never entered my mind to think of this.

My configuration is long since done, but the remote has a known memory leak. Once a month I need to re-load the config to bring its speed back up.

I guess I'll have to dual boot. Vista is installed and with my luck, I needed XP installed first. I can look into this.

VMware workstation does it, usb support

microsoft is a few years behind vmware in terms of technology
