MS Virtual PC 2004

Nocturnal

It keeps telling me to select a boot device blah blah. I set it in the bios to boot from hard drive yet it still gives me this error. Am I doing something wrong?

did u install an OS in that virtual machine...? if not... insert a windows 98 or Xp disk in and make sure ur virtual machine has a physical cd-rom connected to it... then boot ur virtual pachine from cd to install the new OS in it.

I thought it automatically emulated it or something hahaha.

Sure, it automatically emulates the hardware, but you have to provide the software. 😉 (Yes, you *can* install Linux or other OSS systems on VPC!)

Think of it as any "normal" PC: you can't do much with it until you've installed an OS. VPC is exactly the same way.
