MS SQL 2000 wants to talk to the internet

I have a MS SQL 2000 datebase that I would like to secure from the Internet. I still want to be able to access it from scripts running on the same server.

I have marked the Hide property, but for some strange reason the SQL Server Service Manager wants to get on the internet every time I start my Computer. (I know this because Zonealarm alerts me)
I don't have any remote SQL servers listed in the SQL Server Client Network Utility, so why is it doing this ?

SQL server 7 do the same thing (MMC) and a lot of others programs of Micro$oft, I think it say it want to access the internet but it want to access the network to see all the cpus and because you are connected to internet it want to access internet.
If you have more info please tell me.

Yeah, its just phoning home to give MS a heads up as too how many servers are running out thier, where they are at, etc, good for market research and also lets them now how bad thier software is really getting pirated.
