MS releases Remote Desktop for iOS and Android... but not Windows Phone

It almost seems like Microsoft is trying to screw over its own Windows Phone OS.

The Windows Phone version is coming as well, but it does seem odd that they didn't hold off until all three were ready to go at the same time:

I think they're being targeted as tablet apps and Win8/RT has had that app since release. If I had to guess they're probably waiting to release it with the official GDR3 release or WP 8.1 as part of the move into 6 inch and larger phones.

I think they're more curious as to why WinPhone wasn't included as opposed to the app itself.

The reason is because they bought the app from a company and they already had iOS and Android versions. The WP version will have to be created.

Though I would argue about the usefulness of such an app on WinPhone with the complete lack of VPN connectivity.
